Below you will find the conditions that apply in the event of cancellation. The amounts and percentages shown are to be paid by you. Hof aan Zee advises to take out cancellation and travel insurance when booking for unforeseen circumstances. .

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing by the tenant.

The cancellation fee is 40% of the total rent from the moment of your booking.

In case of cancellation within 4 weeks before the start of your stay, the full rent is due.

Tenant does not have to pay a cancellation fee if he proposes another tenant for the same period who can count on the landlord's approval

In the event of premature termination of the stay, the full rent is due. No refund of the rent or part thereof can be made.

If Hof aan Zee has to cancel a rental agreement due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure, the tenant will be offered an equivalent alternative. If this proves impossible, Hof aan Zee will refund the rental price already paid, but without compensation for any damage whatsoever.

For the year 2022, we use our normal rental conditions for every booking.

The current situation with regard to the COVID-19 virus is now known to everyone. Since April 2020, every guest has been aware of the situation and can make a well-considered decision when making a reservation, thereby accepting that the risk lies with the guest this time.

Unfortunately, we therefore do not accept requests for exceptions to the cancellation conditions, even NOT when the situation arises that guests prefer not to travel and/or there is a negative travel advice and/or quarantine obligation on arrival and/or return that applies to the date that the rental period starts, officially established by the Dutch or foreign government.
