Booking terms & conditions

Reservation

Reservations can be made in writing, via the Internet or by telephone. All reservations are binding and final after receipt of the deposit. You will receive a written booking confirmation from us within approximately 5 working days after booking. Reservation costs are €23,- per booking. Non-personal identification information.

Payment

A. A deposit of 40% of the total amount is due immediately after receiving the booking confirmation. The premium for any cancellation insurance taken out at the time of booking is included in the deposit amount.

B. The remainder of the rental price must be paid no later than 8 weeks before the start of the rental period. The premium for any travel insurance taken out will be included in the remaining amount of the rent.

C. When reservations are made less than 8 weeks before the start of the rental period the full rental sum must be paid immediately. When the above payment conditions are not met, we reserve the right to make the reserved object available to someone else.

Travel documents

The manager may be forced to ask for a valid ID in connection with the local police regulations. Only the people mentioned on the reservation form are entitled to stay in the reserved accommodation. A change of persons during the rental period is not allowed unless, after consultation prior to the rental period, explicit permission has been granted by the landlord.

Rental period

The minimum rental period in the high season is 1 week. Day of arrival and departure is then Saturday. The houses are available from 16.00 hours and should be vacated by 10.00 hours. When arriving later than 22.00 o’clock, the manager needs to be informed on time.

Cleaning costs

At the end of the rental period your cottage will be cleaned. You pay a one-time cleaning fee per cottage. You will find these costs in the information about the houses. You can pay this to the manager on the day of arrival. The cleaning costs are obligatory, so you do not have to clean the house yourself. We assume that on the day of departure the dishes are done and the refrigerator is emptied.

Pets

Pets are allowed after consultation. If you want to bring a pet, please mention this at the reservation. The costs are €3.75 per pet per night.
Please realise that your pet must be vaccinated against rabies (bring a certificate).
Pets are not allowed to sleep and play on sofas and beds. Damage caused by a pet is for the account of the tenant.

Cancellation

If a rental agreement is cancelled by the tenant, the following amounts are due in addition to the reservation fee (€ 23):
– In case of cancellation up to 90 days before the date of departure the down payment is due (including any premium for cancellation insurance)
– In the event of cancellation between 90 days and 31 days prior to departure, 60% of the rent will be due (plus any cancellation costs insurance premium)
– In case of cancellation from 30 days up to 15 days before departure, 75% of the rent is due (plus the possible cancellation costs insurance premium)
– In the event of cancellation within 15 days prior to departure, the total rental sum is due.

Interest and collection costs

If the tenant fails to meet his payment obligations on time, an interest of 1% for each month or part of the month of delay will be payable on the amount still due. Furthermore, he shall be obliged to pay all extrajudicial collection costs if a collection agency has to be called in.

Complaints

We do our utmost to please you as much as possible, but it may happen that you are not satisfied. In that case you must immediately (i.e. within 48 hours) contact the manager at the site, so that a suitable solution can be found. If the complaint is not reported immediately, no liability can be accepted by us for any damage related to the complaint. If the accommodation is left prematurely without a complaint being made, no liability can be accepted by us either. If your complaint cannot be satisfactorily resolved on the spot together with our caretaker, your complaint must be submitted to us in writing no later than 1 month after your return from holiday.

VAT

If the Dutch or foreign VAT regulations should change during the period covered by the programme, the travel sum will be adjusted accordingly.

Liability

The landlord is not liable for damage, theft, loss, injury or accident caused to the tenants of one of the accommodations offered by us, regardless of the cause.

Damages caused to the rented accommodation must be immediately reported and paid for by the tenant to the landlord.

The tenant is advised to insure his legal liability in case of fire or any other damage to the accommodation caused by him.

The river (the Cesse) which runs through the grounds of Tamarisk Villages and the (sometimes) steep slopes on the grounds can be dangerous for small children. Never let your children play outside without supervision (except for the fenced terraces of some houses). The landlord cannot be held responsible for accidents.
